Exceptional Sixth Form Teachers
Our high school teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and deeply committed to student success. All teachers hold university degrees from respected institutions and recognised teaching qualifications such as a PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent, with many also holding Master’s degrees and subject specialisms.
British curriculum subjects are mainly taught by native English-speaking teachers, while Spanish and other languages are taught by native speakers of each language. Our diverse team comes primarily from the UK and Spain, with many educators having long-standing careers at the school.
Beyond their qualifications and ongoing professional development, our teachers are passionate educators and role models of the school’s values. They provide personalised support and strong pastoral care, guiding students closely in this final stage as they prepare for university. With a 9:1 teacher-to-student ratio, students benefit from individual attention in a supportive, engaging environment.
Activities for High School Students
Our British high school in Madrid offers a wide range of enrichment activities led by specialist teachers and coaches, supporting students’ academic, creative, and personal development. Sports include football, basketball, volleyball, rugby, and golf, with opportunities for both recreational and competitive play in local leagues. Music is a standout strength: as the only ABRSM Partner School in Spain, students benefit from exceptional tuition, with many preparing for ABRSM and Rockschool (RSL Awards) examinations and achieving excellent results. Creative arts also include drama, dance, and art, with regular performances and events.
Students can also join clubs such as debate, chess, film, e-sports, robotics, and programming, developing practical skills for future university studies and careers. Volunteer programmes and study clubs further enrich student life.
